Day five of something happy
I was going to post a photo of something today, but
gamera_spinning beat me to it, so I'll just direct you over there for teh funneh.
Yesterday I bought some Yaktrax and today I wore them up the hill to work. I didn't slip, but the ice wasn't too terrible. Yet. We'll see how they work when the ice is two inches thick because the numbnuts in this neighborhood don't shovel their fucking sidewalks and everything gets packed down from everyone walking up to campus. I'm hoping that they last more than a year. Reviews on their durability are mixed.
Exercise didn't happen this morning because I woke up with another eyeball/sinus headache. Smack behind my right eyeball and extending about halfway through my head both back and down. It hasn't quite reached my molars yet, but it's probably just a matter of time. I'm pretty sure I can attribute these headaches to weather changes. The past three times that the temperatures have ranged more than thirty degrees in less than twenty-four hours I've gotten this eyeball pain. I think three instances is a pretty good indicator of cause/effect. I hope to feel better enough to exercise tonight, because the scale read 147 this morning. WTF?
I guess at some point during this post I should throw in something that makes me happy, eh?
When I took off my sleeping hat this morning (it's a soft cotton stocking cap--and pink!), my hair looked fabulous. I didn't even bother wetting my hair down to style it. I should have thought to grab the camera so I could have someone here at work take a photo of me and my awesome hat-hair.

ChernobylRocksalt?
Your legend would spread throughout the land, and you would be hailed as a hero for a few months of the year. The rest of the year you could fight crime or something, making tangential puns about salt when catching bad guys.
"Time to serve up some salty justice!"
Seasonings Greetings!

Fuck being a legend. I just want to get to work without having to make the choice of slipping on their un-cleared sidewalks or being struck by car because I have to walk in the middle of the road.
Bah! Humbug!
Thank god I've finished my xmas shopping for the year. I think I would've started giving out coal.

oh, nothing. :waves hand:
:giggles:
(actually, it does make sense. I just can't imagine myself being able to go to sleep with something on my head -- and why that would be different than wearing fuzzy socks is beyond me)

Thanks for tagging me. The meme has been educational. I'm actually finding it hard, believe it or not, but in a good way. I have been taking a lot of things for granted lately.
I never complain about my ridiculous sticking up hair when I wake up, cuz I might get a grumbled, "At least you have hair." And, not surprisingly, that thought makes me appreciate my funny wild hair.
Peace,
Di
