Ten thousand degrees of suck

This morning I noticed that the outdoors looked very bright for 6:00 a.m. I put in my contacts, looked out the window, and sure enough: Snow. OK, fine. So instead of doing my regular workout routine, I bundled up and shoveled half the sidewalks on our block. When I finished the first sweep, there was another dusting of snow on the path already, so I went over my area a second time. It was still snowing when I came back inside to get ready for work. By the time I headed back out the door to head up the hill you couldn't even tell I'd shoveled at all.

I would like to file a complaint, please. Where is the suggestion box?

The channel 6 weather said it was supposed to stop around 11am, it's lightening up now. I have to shovel my drive and my parent's drive sometime later today. Good thing I invested in those fleece lined jeans.

I thought about shoveling this morning, but decided not to for this very reason. As I drove to work (nope... no riding for me - at least not until I kick this sinus crap once and for all, or until the next time), I couldn't help but chuckle at the people shoveling their drives as the snow still heavily fell. I'm sorry, had I known you were one of them, I wouldn't have.

I figure I got at least a little bit of the snow off, maybe half what I'll have to shovel when I got home, anyway. So it wasn't all for naught. Just frustrating. I hate shoveling snow that's been tramped down!!!

It's not that cold, once you get moving. I was sweating by the time I got back in the house.

Get your boy to rig you a flamethrower?

I'm hiding at home today.
I brought work with me.

You know, that would work really well for the places where it's been crushed down into near-ice...

And you'd be warm(er) while clearing the walk.

I'll admit, it looks like fun, and I'd use it for non-poisonously clearing weeds too.

I miss snow.

It's a good thing you're not within reach right now, buddy.

Hey, look on the bright side: it's like a treadmill - for shoveling, instead of running!

Oh, also... you totally introduced me to your rooftop physical trainer in my dream last night. Thanks!
