Crushed

I don't have any pretty words right now. I'm not in the right mental space to write a memory. I'm not sure why this is hitting me so hard.

Goodnight, Jim. You are already so much missed.

EDIT: For those who don't read any other journals by people associated with KCRF, Jim Gasser, our lead barbarian, was killed in a weather-related car accident yesterday. If you would like to read a lovely memorial, please see [livejournal.com profile] nottygypsy's LJ entry, here.

Edit of edit: Sorry, I forgot that [livejournal.com profile] nottygypsy locks her LJ to friends-only these days.

That is an awesome picture. Hehehehehe. What a goof. I wish I had a picture from that day last year when the horsetails over his shoulders were braided.

I know

I seem to be in the same headspace. I didn't know him well but this is affecting me deeply and I haven't found a way to get my mind around it yet.

I have had many people die in the last few months, this is the first one i have cried about. Jim was a good neighbor to our booth. Always good to people. I don't think i ever seen the man not be happy. Even when he was worn out from the day. Full of energy, and ready to do some thing new. He was a part of ren fair, and ren fair was a part of him. The man touched a lot of peoples lives. i hope to see a shrine to Jim out at fair.

If you want to host a small shrine site next to the shop, I would be honored to assist in the building and maintenance of it. Keep me informed on that. We can talk about it at ConQuesT.

:(

Yeah. Somebody lost control of their car, crossed the median, and hit his car. Horrible.

I can't see it; it looks like it's friends-locked. :(((

Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Jim was an awesome, personable, and very nice guy from the little I was acquainted with him.

I'm sorry. I forgot that Notty locked down her LJ to friends-only recently.

I am not sure if he was out at the festival back when I used to do it. So I'm not sure I know him. Sorry for your loss. I just saw this now, or I would have said something last night when I saw you. How terrible.

He started in 2002, I think, so it would have been after your time. It's ok, but thank you. He was a good man.
