Shed

I must make new bodices for KCRF this year. As of Monday morning I was one pound heavier than I was at the end of the run last year, and my bodices had to be straight-laced on the few weekends I was whoring in 2008. So yeah.

This means I'm selling my old bodices. If you or anyone you know is in the market for one, let me know. At the time I drafted the pattern for those, my measurements were 36-30-40. Laid flat(ish) and closed at the back, the bodice measures 27" at the waist. The most troublesome issue is the length. I'm long-waisted, so the front line of the bodice (not including the peplum) is 14.5". They're gorgeous, if I say so myself, and I know at least one of the fabrics is no longer being manufactured. After checking the going rates for most of the RTW-bought bodices that have been approved by management at faire, I think it's appropriate to ask for $70 each. I've asked [livejournal.com profile] grnvixen to pass the information to management at faire, so if you think you're interested, contact me soon--before they do.

I also have old belly dance costumes that I'm willing to sell for cheap-cheap-cheap.

Yesterday, while cleaning the sewing room, I came across more things I need to shed. If you're interested in any of this, please comment and we can arrange for pick-up. I'm also willing to ship if you paypal me money for postage.

1. Incense from Astral Sea. Non-sweet, non-fruity flavors like sandalwood, copal, cinnamon, etc. I love this stuff, and there's a lot of it, but [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick is allergic.

2. Wall-mountable incense holder that [livejournal.com profile] starstraf gave me. Works for either stick or cone incense. Black metal with gold tone accents that looks fab in a Middle-Eastern or otherwise ethnically-themed room.

3. Tarot card decks: Albano-Waite, Thoth, and the colored-pencil one of the Rider-Waite whose name I can't remember, but which I think is the prettiest of the Rider-Waite clones.

4. Two silver-plated candlesticks for tapers. Gorgeous, simple, and desperately in need of a shine, although they look pretty awesome all tarnished up.

5. Four one- to one-and-a-half inch crystal balls and three double-ended crystals, one of them naturally double-ended (the other two are obviously carved and polished).

6. Two 3-inch tall bisque dolls that belonged to a long-time friend of my grandma. They're called "Nodders" even though they don't actually nod. One of them has a broken head, but the break is clean and could be glued.

I still have about a zillion sewing patterns for anyone who wants to browse them. I'd prefer they be used by people who plan to sew with them rather than use them for collage. Especially the vintage ones.

I found some more knitting needle cases. If you need need storage for your knitting needles, I am your girl. $35 for circular cases, $25 for straight cases. I am willing to negotiate pricing if you buy more than one.

Please for the love of god help me get this stuff out of our house.
