It's really hot in my building because they still haven't finished construction on the campus steam tunnels. So we have no air conditioning. I guess someone griped loud enough or to the right people and they've determined that it's silly for us to come in for an hour or two, just to be sent home. We've got the rest of the week off, and I'm headed home in just a few minutes here.

Too bad I couldn't feel better during all this. It'd be nice to do something other than lay around the house and read all day. Like, you know, maybe get a new bodice made. One that fits. Because this day next month, we'll have wrapped up our first weekend of faire.

I so wish I could drum for you. I just learned how to drum (semi) properly at zen fest out at Camp Gaea last weekend. I LOVED it. YAY LESS THAN A MONTH 'TILL FESTIVAL!!!!!

I think that I'm just going to make a standard style. I've decided that I want to do detachable sleeves, which won't work well with those sexy droopy straps. Maybe if I have time to make myself a backup bodice, I'll try the dropped straps.

For as cold as it can get at KC, detachable sleeves are a really good idea. Just let me know if or when you would like to see it. :)
