Hot blooded

Dr. Burt didn't think upping my levothyroxine dose would help. Instead, I'm taking a small amount (5mcg) of liothyronine in addition to the 112mcg of levothyroxine. Last year's T4 numbers were on the high end of normal and my T3 numbers were the teeniest hair above the lowest of the low. We'll see if the liothyronine helps boost up that T3. More bloodwork in 30 days.

I had to give a blood sample so we'd have a current baseline for the thyroid levels. The phlebotomist was really good looking. I don't like male phlebotomists (they always leave a bruise on me), but for this one I made an exception. I've got a little bit of a bruise, yes, but I don't care. Because seriously. Rawr.

Today is my last day to wear contacts before my pre-LASIK surgery appointment.

Tired level is high today.

And I'm on my last pair of clean underwear. I must get some laundry done soon.

You must be tired if you're not even mustering up enthusiasm on the LASIK.

Just know that if you need some reading or guide dog work in the next couple weeks, I'll help out :)

Ha ha ha ha! Yeah, I'm pretty freaking beat. I didn't even have time to shower this morning, I got up so late. Yeesh.

Thank gods the new vision surgery techniques don't require anymore that I sit in a dark room for three days post-op! I can't imagine. *shudder*

I think it's fabulous, and they can even fix age-related near vision, I see. wow.

When I used to work as a dispensing optician, I loved working for the doc who did all the cataract and lens implant surgeries. Those seniors who could suddenly see clearly again.. it made me quite misty at times.

Will you have to wear stylin' sunglasses?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-05-04 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
The website doesn't say anything about special sunglasses, but I have to wear special sleeping goggles for a week afterward.

Sexxy!

I am so terribly jealous of your impending LASIK-ness. Yay!

It's amazing how such a small, seemingly insignificant action like taking out and putting in contacts can affect one's entire life.

This will be amazing.

I hope.

Need iron? After my blood draw I was fucked up for a few days....
loving you....

Since I'm a regular blood donor, I take a daily iron supplement. I just realized, though, that I've been forgetting to take my Vitamin D drops for a couple weeks. Oopsie.

Must get back to that. Also, perhaps some additional iodine (http://www.vrp.com/articles.aspx?ProdID=2133) for a couple weeks.

Maybe hang-out time after class next Monday since it'll be the last class?

Sounds lovely! I will check that Steph can stay late.

Buy more underwear. Doing laundry gets old.

:)

Ha ha ha! Tell me about it. It never stops!
