This (very short) video made me laugh out loud. Not LOLed. Seriously. Laughed. Out. Loud. There might have been a couple snorts. Maybe.

This is all kinds of awesome and I would like a miniature version in an aquarium, please.

In addition to the bees in the wall, there is a nest of starlings in the window next to my office. The chicks are old enough to cry for food now, so there are regular (and loud) periods of squawking to punctuate the buzzing of the bees. We are no longer the Department of English. We are now Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

Our assistant to the chair called in some favors (and maybe mentioned that I'm allergic to bees) to The Powers That Be, who assured us that something would be done by the end of the week. Which means the end of next week, but that's cool. The person who dropped the ball on this has been forced to pick it up again, so hurrah.

Last night in yoga, I did a real headstand (Sirsasana) for the first time evar (not using my Gaiam Yogalift thingy). I did it all on my own, using only my own arms and head! I had Gopi help me get my legs up because it was usually during that brief hinge moment when my legs kicked up that my shoulder would go out. But she only had to help a little and I stayed up forever, like almost a minute, all by myself. Gold Yoga Star For Me!



I forgot to bring eye drops to work today. Dang.

Too bad starlings don't eat bees, that would solve at least one problem. Starlings do eat just about anything. I have seen them eat dog food and hamburger.
