Rain or shine?

I decided to be lazy and made hash browns instead of pancakes with that vegetable pancake recipe. I like them hashbrown-style better.

Because KC has between fifty and eighty percent chance of thunderstorms today and mckitterick is using the Saab, I canceled my afternoon much-anticipated plans there. Sadness. It's scary to drive the Crossfire on super wet roads, and I'm a nervous driver under good circumstances. Of course, the sun is out here in Lawrence, and there's a slight cool breeze. Lovely! Now that mckitterick is awake (and gone for the day), I'm opening up the house to air things out before the humidity sets in*.

Speaking of mckitterick, Happy Birthday, lover! Enjoy the fireworks tonight--I hope the show doesn't get canceled because of weather.

...and speaking of things blowing up, I hope all the dorm check-in stuff goes off without any hitches or major problems. *crossing fingers* I don't wanna go to work tomorrow.

* Edit: Ugh. I just opened the back door. Too late.
