Acceptable limits

This is the best commercial ever in the history of the universe.

A million billion thanks to [livejournal.com profile] shrijani for the link.

News flash: I am awesome. I totally rocked headstand pose last night. Only had to kick up once, and was able to play around with pulling my heels away from the wall for a couple seconds at a time. My rhomboids are tired today. I have no doubt that those things are related.

I feel super great on three tablets of Armour. Dr. Burt recommended two and a half per day, but the pill splitter pulverizes the things so I tried two/three pills per day on alternating days. On the two-pill days I get by, but on the three-pills days I feel fantastic. Positive attitude, alert, ambitious...is this what normal feels like? Because it's fucking amazing. Please please please let this dosage be within acceptable limits on the blood work. Please.

My email inbox contained a message from James Morrow this morning:

I wanted to give you a good-bye hug, but in the hurly-burly of our getting to various Sunday destinations, that didn't happen. Thanks for understanding "Only Begotten Daughter" so well -- and for the scrumptious breakfast quiche too!
Best wishes,
Jim
P.S. Someday I'd be interested in hearing how Julie Katz changed your life.

Here's to you finding a dosage that will work for you.

Thanks.

I AM COMPELLED TO BUY THOSE LIGHTBULBS.

Also, that is without a doubt one of the best emails it could ever be possible to receive.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-20 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
That's some damn fine marketing, yes?

[identity profile] zhukora1.livejournal.com 2010-07-20 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
That commercial is truly amazing. It looks like it might be made by the same people who did that weird banana man commercial (which you can see here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpqxSBclqWs)). Oh, YouTube, would we do without you?

And that sucks about the pill splitter. :P It's good the meds are working, though! Hopefully the dosage issues will be worked out to your satisfaction.

Weird banana ad is weird.

I wish James Morrow hadn't abandoned his LJ. Ah well! He once sent me an email, too. He's the only author I ever sent fan mail to.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-20 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Dang! I wish I'd known you were a fellow Morrow fan. I'd have snagged you an autograph on a bookmark or something.

Yay Linda!

*SNORT*

See, told you that you should go fangirl at him! Now you have an invitation to continue chatting with him in the future.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-20 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm not really a fan. It's just that the one book of his changed my thinking about a lot of things. The letter was very nice to get, though.

And hey, he likes my cooking! Always a good thing.

[identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Everybody likes your cooking.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw. Thanks.

And you used that icon....why?

[identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
And you used that icon....why?

Either 1) because I'm hoping you make it some day, or 2) it's funny.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you'll have more luck hoping for the realization of 2, but that's pretty dicey, itself.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw.

*kiss*kiss*

Also: Miss you!

That you are awesome

[identity profile] wyckedgood.livejournal.com 2010-07-20 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
is in no way a news flash. So glad to hear that you are feeling so good!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-20 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
=D

Me, too!

That is fantastic news about the medicine! About the headstand and the wonderful email from James Morrow, too!

I also love that the video rests on this shot when not playing:

FOR. REAL.

Kewl on the email :). And I think I will need to look into Armour.....

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 01:24 pm (UTC)(link)
So far, it's worlds and away better than the other stuff I've been on. A little more expensive (of course), but worth it.

[identity profile] bestill.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it specifically for thyroid? Because I have been having more problems lately with energy and having the funky brain fog. I got some info in the mail several weeks ago about a new medicine to treat narcolepsy, but it was by the same company that made the narcolepsy medication who's side effects made me terribly depressed and not want to get out of bed. So, I haven't run to the doctor for it.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. It's specifically for thyroid. Also, it's made from dessicated pig thyroid, so I'm not sure you'd want to take it.

[identity profile] bestill.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
ew! (But if it works for you . . !)
