Hair, post-party and with tired eyes.


This is my eighty-millionth attempt at doing smoky eye makeup, and my first since watching this pretty effing awesome tutorial on how to do it. I need to use higher pigment eyeshadow. I might toss a lot of my cheap drugstore colors. I love the way they look in the pot, but the colors are never that vibrant on my skin. You get what you pay for.

I'm super happy with my haircut. This morning was the Experiment in Air-drying on the walk to work and it passed with flying colors. Behold:


My sad little old (cheap) camera wouldn't pick up the texture of my hair without washing out my face so pardon the overexposure and poor Photojob of burning-in of my face. Look at the hair!

Seems like it happened overnight, didn't it? But it's been a long road. This was taken in January 2009 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/chernobylred/3199986500/in/set-72157611086011596/), about four months after my last shorty-short cut. This is October 2009 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/chernobylred/4046581875/in/set-72157613202977424/), right before I had Ashley even everything out to one length (http://www.flickr.com/photos/chernobylred/4089630483/in/set-72157613202977424/) in November 2009. I didn't have a haircut between January and October, and I hadn't had a haircut since that November trim.

Maybe it seems fast to you because I haven't been tracking it with daily photos anymore. Seems to me like it's taken forever. I'm shooting for at least mid-back length.

Wish I could share my good hair fortune with you. =(

Edited to add: Ha! Poor thing. Made me laugh, though.
