No more dairy
Since my Whole30 wrapped on on August 31, I've been re-incorporating certain foods.
The wine re-introduction went great.
Alas, milk products--including fermented ones--are a no-go. I've had minor stomach upset all day, every day I've eaten them. For a week. I do okay with small and occasional pats of butter on vegetables. But not kefir or yogurt. I hoped the tummy upset could be blamed on monthly issues, but the G.I. unhappiness has continued, days after the other concluded.
Much. Sadness. I'll miss you, Brown Cow Cream Top yogurt!
I must research other ways to repopulate my gut flora. I'm disinclined to use the So Delicious cultured coconut milk too often. It's tasty, but wow is it heavily processed. I bet I could make my own coconut milk yogurt. I'll look around for recipes and reviews.

Ditto!
Well, actually, what I would do would be to just not eat it. I don't feel the need to give up my wonderful, beloved cheese and yogurt because I don't immediately feel any negative effects when I eat it. If I did, my attitude about giving it up would likely be different.

Ha! Exactly. I mean...what else you gonna do? Walk around with a bellyache all the time? Nope. Not me, anyway.
Largely thanks to doing the Whole30 experiment seriously hardcore, I'm cool with ditching entire genres of food. Emotional/mental attachments are gone now. It's awesome.

reading your lj helps me convince myself I can do it.
If you say you can do it, you can do it. It's those people who immediately start in with the "oh, I could never do that" before making an honest effort that are doomed to failure.
Best of luck on your path to healthful eating!
