A close one

Two tornadoes touched down in Lawrence, one within a couple miles of us. No injuries, although several people lost their homes. Mommy and Nana got in around 4:00pm and by 7:00pm we were down in the basement, along with two friends who recently moved here from South Carolina, and half of Dean's family. A nice cozy evening.

If Mommy and Nana hadn't been here, though, I would have spent the evening out on the back porch. As it was, I didn't get to see a thing.

Heh, it's more fun being a ghoul DURING a storm than finding out afterward.

By the way, why isn't it Kansas law that all homes be built with basements? Our plan is to pile both cats, Hope, and the two of us into the downstairs bathroom, which is centrally located if not underground.

I rode the scooter home while the tornado was hopping over campus. How cool is that?!
