So you all remember this bit of delicious news? Yes, well. Zachary Quinto just came out, too. Thanks again to [livejournal.com profile] kc_risenphoenix for the news.

I'm going to spend the rest of my day watching this.

Let the objectifying begin!
The second vid is brilliant.

I'm all a-twitter for the ST sequel as well.

I have bookmarked a few brilliant vids from different fandoms. Lemme know if you're interested in anything.

Little-known fact: [livejournal.com profile] lightonthesill went to college with "Simon." We were watching Firefly episodes on DVD way back when, and she said, "Oh!" And then she told us how gay he was, how awful he was at enunciating (back then), and how he had a tongue piercing, etc. NIFTY, I thought. :)

Every time we watch an episode, even the kids now say, HEY, there's gay Simon!

Um.

*wince*

I know you/they say it in fun, but I'm not sure how I feel about that. I admit that I sexually objectify people. But I'm vaguely uncomfortable about defining someone (or someone's character) based on their orientation.

That's a very good point, and I realize I hadn't thought of it that way. Thank you for saying something. Would you like me to take the comment off? :)

Not at all! It's a good conversation, I think. Maybe someone else will join in.

Remember, in cyberspace, no one can hear you squee.

Remember, in cyberspace, no one can hear you squee.

More's the pity.
