That just happened
I just tore a giant hole in the top of my left stocking. And by "giant," I mean "tried to tug it up a bit and put my entire hand through the fabric". Nice.

shanmonster's recommendation of Better Facebook. It doesn't make the usage less galling, but it alleviates some of the general frustration. Thanks, Shan. But anyway, I'll be adding/friending people from my personal page (some of you have already found me). It's not really how I wanted to deal with the whole Facebook presence, but since I can only comment and respond to posts, etc. via my personal account, I figure people are going to track me down, anyway. Might as well be proactive about it.
roya_spirit and I went to the Bellydance Superstars Club Bellydance show (organized by miischelle) at the Uptown Theater on Tuesday. miischelle was, of course, fantastic, but I was surprised and impressed by Melody, who used to dance with a Certain Person Who Shall Remain Nameless Here. When I saw her dance (years ago), she was fine, but now? Wow. Wow. She's very skilled. It's fantastic to see someone else local doing straight-up Egyptian Cabaret and doing it really really well. If her Intermediate/Advanced classes weren't in Blue Springs, I would enroll in a session or two. She's faboo.

Oh, and Troupe Duende (http://www.troupeduende.com/members/)were so energetic, and totally fun to watch.
Our local dancers certainly gave Club Bellydance a run for the money.
