I thought about using the "this is not my life" icon, but this IS my life, so....

Okay, so this is not great news.

Other not great news:

Getting a $340 medical bill for items you thought were covered by insurance.

Waking up in more pain the day after your physical therapy appointment than you did the day before.

Realizing that if you do catch your partner's cold/flu/whatever, it's going to hit on Friday--when you have to drive to KC for a performance.

Blah.

Getting a $340 medical bill

This sucks a lot.

Yep.

this.

I am displeased, to say the least.

*Ugh*asaurus Rex.

They're not paying for Dr. Rob?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-01-11 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
*shrug*

Just got off the phone with 'em and they said I should see a revised statement in ~21 days.

Good luck.

In other news, I'm pretty much done being sick!

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2012-01-11 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)

We got surprised by a "that's not a network doctor" bill a couple months ago, too, for $375 consultation, and and the $23.36 (where do they get these numbers?) fingerprick glucose test!!!

Pain right now sucketh, so sorry.
Do you have lots of D3, zinc and EmergenC to battle the bug?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-01-11 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
This is totally a network doctor, though. In fact, he has a exclusive deal with KU employees, so I'm really thrown for a loop.

The $340, by the way? Is for two fucking visits. Two. Two visits. I've seen this guy more than a dozen times.

I am trying very hard not to freak the fuck out.

I can't take zinc (bothers my gut), but everything else I take daily, so yep. All good on the immune front. *wood knock*

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2012-01-11 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)

That's so weird. Is there a cap on visits? I don't remember there being one when I was with BCBS and seeing my PT.

We didn't think to check on this one because FFS, Jbird's primary care guy REFERRED him to the clinic and the damned clinic is affiliated with LMH. But ohno, not that doctor.. WTF kind of deal is that?

Insurance companies can suck my dick.

[identity profile] shrijani.livejournal.com 2012-01-12 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Bleh, blah, and bluh.

Insurance companies SUCK. Drug-resistant -- I'm sorry, completely drug-resistant pathogens suck. Pain sucks.

I hope you do not get the respiratory virus currently being hosted within your man. There has GOT to be an up-side to this week.

Fuckin' medical insurance.

That happened to us recently for Mac's back. Except it was for $4000. Not kidding.

I got home and found one remaining Doña Paula CabSav 2007. It was good.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-01-12 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh Jesus. Do you have to pay it or can you appeal?

[identity profile] stuology.livejournal.com 2012-01-12 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Mac has already filed an appeal.
