A new Jackie Chan movie that looks like it could fall into the Oh My Fucking God Shit Yes category.
Hey, atheists! Here's a great idea of whom to hire to speak at your funeral.
Yesterday afternoon, after the disastrous Dance Church, I managed to bang up my knee pretty bad. I was slipping off my shoes at the bottom of the steps and as I stepped out of the left one, I lost my balance and fucking whammed my right knee into the corner of the staircase wall with the force of a wrecking ball.
I couldn't breathe for about five seconds. Then I thought I was going to throw up. Then I realized I needed to sit the fuck down right then so thank goodness for the staircase being at hand (of course the staircase was why I was taking off my shoes in the first place). By the time I got my ass on the stairs, the shock had passed and I was getting the first waves of real pain. I managed to babble something incoherent up to
mckitterick who was working in his office. After some gasping and groaning, he helped me crawl/limp up the stairs. He tried to distract me with photos from the vintage motorcycle show he was at that morning. That didn't really help, so I made him take me out to lunch.
Eat this, it will make you feel better. Or at least put some food in you so you can take a mega-dose of ibuprofen.
I'm not sure how long this is going to take to heal. It feels surprisingly good today, but the bruises haven't quite shown up yet. Maybe I'll get lucky, but I think it's a good thing I already canceled my performance at a birthday party later this month. Pthhppt.

I doubt it'll come to a local theater, but if it does, that might be one to shell out $$ for to see on a big screen.
