I have my first crazy LJ stalker!

How exciting. The wack-a-doo who prompted yesterday's post? She's not just defensive and whiny, I think she might be bordering on mental.

Late yesterday, she responded to this post from 2005 in the LJ bellydance comm where [livejournal.com profile] redheadfae and I gave her information on dance stuff in the KC area. Who saves/remembers stuff like that, and then bothers to respond to it nearly seven years later? It takes passive aggressive to a whole new level.

Then she took the time to find my old James Bond Cairo on the Kaw performance on YouTube and gave me a lengthy critique on it on the LJ bellydance comm and here on my journal (I deleted that one). Never mind that I didn't post this video to the comm or ask for a critique (and a lot of other things, including the fact that it was practically a humor-piece for godssake), she posted it in my own journal. Effectively, she crashed a party and called the hostess a hypocritical hack.

[livejournal.com profile] ontd_political has a policy of banning members who take stuff like this to personal journals and I think that's a sound policy. She's certainly been banned from here.

You can bet your last fucking dollar I won't be offering suggestions to people on the LJ bellydance comm anymore unless it's a username I recognize.

This is a crazy- and drama-free LJ. Keeping it that way, thanks.

o_O She did what?

OMG she really did.

I had to go back and read, since she further responded to me also. I'm disengaging, and not even going to bother with her pouty whine about me ignoring her videos (I did, because the post of her initial video didn't interest me enough to look any further) and making the statement of fact that "any amateur can dance in a restaurant." Truth hurts, eh?

Crazy bitch is crazy. Oh wait.. this explains a lot:
Her first teacher was a Bobby Doll. Man, there are some damaged women came out of that studio. I notice the dissenter to the collective feedback made this comment:
It's one of the reasons why I love Bobby Farrah's students so much. It took me some time to appreciate his style, but the energy, spontaneity, and passion in his students' performances is inspiring.

OH MAN THOSE BOBBY DOLLS.

Fucking perfect gif is fucking perfect.

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)

Thank you!

[identity profile] sherwood21.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
That level of tragic special snowflake-ness is AMAZING. Also, she dances like someone who performs because they need people to notice that they're doing something with the sexx0rs in it, rather than dancing because they're creating something with skill and artistry.

Y'know, the argument can be made that you lose a lot in video, but here is a fact: YOU are interesting to watch on video. She is not. But maybe the crazy-eyes just put me off.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw. Thank you for the kind words!

The funny thing is (well, funny to me--I doubt she has the same brand of humor, if any) I know that was a weak performance. I didn't choose the music, I didn't choose the theme, I didn't even choose the prop! I was told what I was going to dance to, and how, and when, all by someone I really don't care for, and just did what I felt like doing under those restrictions. Was it art? GOD, NO. The only reason I put it up on YouTube was that some friends of mine couldn't make it to the show and wanted to see it.

It's funny and sad that she took all that time to critique a performance that I already knew was kinda crap. =D

[identity profile] sherwood21.livejournal.com 2012-05-13 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Having seen you dance in person, yeah, for you it was kinda crap. Nonetheless, it was still engaging and interesting enough to watch that I watched the whole thing through. I will fix that quote for you - Your passion for technique is what makes you a great dancer. ;)

I think cray-cray girl's got some serious self-esteem issues, because the video that she posted with a teacher is the only one where she looks like she's enjoying what she's doing, and consequently, the only one that's in any way enjoyable to watch. Too bad she's a psycho on top of it.

I *so* called this. Not a minute in I was thinking "I C WAT HAPND THAR."

And I'd say more but I'm not drunk enough yet. Or ever.

HA HA HA HA!

It's funny because it's true. The part about never being drunk enough to talk about it, I mean.

On the other hand, it functions well as a broken-human detector.

Too bad I didn't pick up on it until after I engaged.

DISENGAGING NAO!

WHOA NELLIE.
That woman is not right in the head. Like, AT ALL.

Especially weird is the unsolicited, novel-length critique of your piece on Youtube.

Stay away from her, OK?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, no worries there! I don't have time or energy for trolls.

Man, I love that jumping monster image in your icon. That guy never gets old!

ICON LOVE

[identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty sure she took your "You must be new here" gif as literal, so felt the need to respond to one of her earliest BDLJ posts.

So not very smart, either.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I bet you're exactly right. Poor thing. Not only is she clueless as to general internet interaction, but she also doesn't realize:

The fuck is wrong with people. (not a question)

It's like she's obsessed with you.

It's like she's obsessed with you.

Well, who can blame her, right?

[identity profile] pamelonian.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I like how you told her that her behavior was creepy and to go away. Hopefully she will.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it's hysterical that in the bellydance comm she was all "in what world is it okay to randomly snark on people." I'm like, um, my world? Apparently it's okay in her world to randomly exhibit obsessive stalker tendencies.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess, but I'll take snark over stalker any day.

[identity profile] alryssa.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
She seems like the kind of person I would totally fuck with, just for shits and giggles, because she just has no idea.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
If I wasn't so busy with Sherlock today (I nearly have a finished pattern!) I would go back to that bellydance comm post and reply to all her shit in GIFs.

STUPID SHERLOCK RUINING ALL MY FUN.

[identity profile] alryssa.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay for nearly finished pattern! I have never tried to make something like that from total scratch before.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
This is my first attempt at it. And TBH, I did not intend to draft it from scratch. But it turns out that's what happened because my typical approach of Frankenstein-ing a bunch of different patterns to make something new* didn't work for this design.

With the exception of the sleeves (not the cuffs, just the sleeves) the entire pattern is All Mine. It's...weird. Empowering! but a tad overwhelming.

*What I did with Watson.
