I am on vacation from Sherlock until Sunday late afternoon when sherwood21 is going to come over to help me with this Armhole Issue. I'm a wee bit panicked about taking three days off the project, but it can't be helped. I've reached the limits of my current abilities, and am finding no solutions on my own. Bless her heart that she's willing to give me a hand.

This means there's no way I'm going to have time to dye the coat fabric, so I'm going to have a lighter houndstooth than I'd like. Meh. At this point, I just want a fucking coat that fits.

OH SHIT I NEED TO DYE MY SCARF, THOUGH. That's non-negotiable. Okay, well, I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow before sherwood21 arrives.

I ran by the Footprints warehouse sale this morning, and they had nothing that interested me. Their stock's ratio of Shoes I'd Wear to Cringe-Inducing Hippie Shoes is pretty poor to begin with, but man. They had hardly anything that wasn't Birkenstock or Tevo-esque stuff. Ugh. Looks like I'll be going through another sandal-free summer. Silver lining: I suppose I don't have to pay so much attention to keeping my toenails painted.

Dang, it's clouding up out there. That was fast. When I was out and about earlier this morning it was brilliant. Now it looks like we might get some interesting weather. It's darker in here than it was when I woke up at 6:00am. Wind's picking up, too. Aaaaand now it's pouring. Oh, Kansas.

I couldn't wear Birkenstocks if I wanted to. My second toe is longer than my big toe, and Birks aren't shaped for feet like that.

I have a pair of Earth Shoe sandals. They are super comfortable, and I can even run in them.
