There's no point in direction

Today is the first day since quitting it that I am pining for a cup of coffee. I want one so much. The caffeine would be nice, sure (the mobility work this morning was necessary but not as invigorating as a WOD). But what I really want is that wonderful smell and taste.

COFFEE I MISS YOU AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU EVEN THOUGH WE COULDN'T MAKE IT WORK.

There's not much new going on except holy crap I'm still stiff and sore, so just some fluff today.

Check out this Tumblr post that calls to attention the fact that Thor has Loki's horned helmet motif engraved on his bracers. How awesome is that?

If you need to laugh until you cry (and then, possibly, get a craving to watch Father Ted), please check out this man's Olympic sailing commentary. Not work safe due to a few f-bombs.

I'd never heard of Blues Dancing until today, but after reading a mention of it on an LJ, I'm in love. Too bad I don't like the style of blues music for which this seems to be popular.

I've seen this a few places. Love it.

Despite my disappointment with the album Up, Peter Gabriel remains one of my all-time favorite musicians. Check out this 2010 performance of a song from his first album. The studio version has a swelling chorus and huge sound as the song builds, but this version is almost like a lullaby, with just him and the piano. So beautiful.

Wow, what a combo you got here.
First of all: COFFEE. oh, I am feeling your pain. Tea is not coffee. Colas are not coffee. It's not about the caffeine...coffee is not replaceable.

I thought the blues dancing was interesting...and you know, you always have to have space for a baby hamster, PLZ!
:)

Loved the Science & Chicken Sandwich pic!! LOL!!

I know! What a mish-mash. And you are exactly right. Coffee is irreplaceable. *weeps*

Are you anywhere near his California tour spots (http://petergabriel.com/livedates/) this year? I would SO go to that show.

You're welcome! You gotta tell me all about it if you go.

Is that Dougal narrating the dinghy race? "Oh, that was the START of the race. Sorry, we're out of time."

HAHAHAHAA!

Oh LORD the Irish commentary was funny. I might actually pay attention to the Olympics if our own commentators took that approach. :D

I love this Irish tourism commercial that they have been running in the UK this summer:

Who in their right mind (who wasn't affiliated with the Olympics) would've even attempted to go to London this summer? In. Sane.

Oddly enough, I've heard that the tourist spots are empty, because everyone is at Olympic Village, or at the events.
Now whether it's correct or not, who knows?
