Ting-a-ling
Status update: I'm coughing more, but my throat's not quite as tender. I am, however, more puffy around my lower abdomen than I was last night. WTF. I'm going to do a moxibustion treatment here in a little bit, before I start putting on my makeup. My body, you guys. It tires me.
Happily, the new costume looks fantastic. Perhaps its glory will distract from the pudge.
A few weeks ago,
tama_grey posted a PSA about Things Not To Say To Someone Who Is Depressed or Suicidal. this Tumblr post is a good follow-up to that, I think. I have a similar negative response to people who refer to someone who is "fighting cancer." Because if someone survives cancer "won" that fight, what does that say about the people who don't? The analogy of it being a battle--something that can be won or lost--makes me uncomfortable.
Oh, and
tama_grey, the zills you so generously gifted me with last year are making their KCRF Smoker debut today! Yay! I'm so pleased to have loud silver zills now.
On a lighter note (for a given value of "light"), this image made me laugh.

I can't wait to see the new costume, it's got to be gorgeous!
Remember, there will be a higher majority of people looking at your body with envy, no one will notice the pudge. Except me, of course, and I'm gonna be going "uh huh, I get it..I hear ya. Now shimmy on over and grab those buckaroos" ;)

HA HA HA! ILU.
Are you coming out today? At least we won't have to deal with dust. =b

True, the air will be clean!

And LOL re: your graphic there. The only thing that would make it more appropriate for you is if the Earth was rotating instead of showing only the Eastern Hemisphere.

Yep, that's an excellent follow-up. Last year, I had to brave up and admonish my mom for telling me that when she got tired, she just "powered through it," she's just "stubborn." Telling a CFS patient that is... well, it's... I CANT EVEN [headdesk]
