I found some amazing replacement fabric for the Danger Silk on the new costume. Sadly, it's not orange. It's a sort of gray/blue/orange/red color-shifting dupioni silk that I think will look beautiful and be more easily swapped out with different color skirts and stuff. I'm very happy with it, even if it did cost three times as much as I paid for the Danger Silk. I'll have it ready for third weekend.

I'm feeling a lot better. Coughing less and no sore throat at all. The hives aren't swollen anymore, but they've gone to that sort of scarred-bruised look. I imagine they'll still be visible for a couple of weeks, but at least they're not as itchy. Mostly I'm just really really tired. Damn, last week and weekend took a lot out of me.

Yeah--that guy is a piece of work. Good thing he was out serving his church, telling all the evils of "Adam and Steve." In related (but minor) news, did you hear that Paul Ryan lied about his marathon time? Somebody asked him in an interview, and he straight up lied and said 2:50something (it was really 4:01). Why on earth would you lie about that? More importantly, if you are going to lie about something that is so inconsequential, what will you lie about when it matters?! grrr.
