Well, apparently, all I have to do is announce my menstrual issues publicly on LiveJournal and boom. Things start...working. So there's that.

Also, the fact that today's Tumblr collection, Tuesday, January 15: Girls With Guns comes on the heels of Obama's gun control endorsements was not my plan.

That is an amazing story about your grandmother!

It reminds me of my paternal grandmother; I called her a bluestocking, because she was widowed at about 60 or so, was single for over a decade, during which she had several boyfriends and went out dancing three nights a week, then finally married again in her 70s, after (in her new husband's words) "I wore out a set of kneepads proposing to her".

If I'd ever been brave enough to ask, I'm quite sure she'd have given me untold amounts of advice on womanhood, sex, and life in general, just from what she did tell me! She was the only one who's advice on NOT marrying my first fiance' got through my head. I still have no idea why, though....

I could tell some good stories about my paternal grandparents. I should put them in an LJ entry sometime.
