My sympathy. Our house is so solid (and I'm such a hard sleeper) that they don't bother me, unless they're really cracking!
But we got them night before (or actually yesterday morning), not last night.

I like 4am thunderstorms when I'm not worried about a lack of sleep the next day.

We get thunder so rarely here in Portland that it's An Event.
