Chilled and uninspired
Yesterday's temperature in the office was insultingly cold. Even
mckitterick complained of it. At no point during yesterday's work day was I not chilled. By the time 5pm rolled around, all I wanted to do was snuggle down into the couch.
mckitterick was delayed picking me up for the gym, and didn't realize he was supposed to bring my gym bag with him, so we had to go back home for the bag. I decided lugging the bag to the gym was stupid, so I started to change and then nearly broke down into tears because that was how much I didn't want to exercise. So we didn't. I made dinner and we had a lovely evening together at home instead.
Tonight = Gym. And then errands because Drumming Group is canceled.
Thank goodness it's sunny out there. That helps my motivation.
I took advantage of the time change this year and instead of allowing myself to loll in bed, I get up when I wake up (usually between 5:30 and 5:45) and either do quiet chores (like cleaning the sewing room) or yoga. This morning I rolled out for an hour and it felt so good. Mmmmm...I love our self-myofascial release toys!
My planner tells me that the next few weeks are busy busy busy. Nothing like feeling drained in advance. Oh My Goodness am I looking forward to Thanksgiving weekend when I have nothing planned except the usual Sunday morning session with Andrew. I'm reserving those four days to eat (a lot) and work on my Due South Secret Santa project since it has lain woefully neglected for three weeks and, judging from my planner entries, shall lie woefully neglected for the next three weekends, too.

Golf balls, lacrosse balls, regular foam rollers, knobby foam rollers, special therapy balls...we've got a bit of everything. They're AWESOME.
I got no plans for Thanksgiving
Sounds like a great opportunity to make some art!

Don't you just love planned alone time, especially after a long run of social activity?

I've never done the LOTR Thanksgiving weekend marathon but this year just might be the time for it. I could use a few days curled up next to the fire except to crawl out for supplies or neighborhood walks.

That sounds great! We've never done it on Thanksgiving, but we have marathoned the thing--extended versions, even. Good times!

Thanksgiving has me in tears, when to do his family and ours, because his family now means scheduling around his daughters partners family (and all their family) and then mine, AND waiting for answers from everyone before we can plan and UGH.
I need a year off.
