New week, same tired

Exhaustion Levels: Unreasonable and Intolerable. It's going on two weeks? maybe more? that I've felt tired all the time. Today's Tired hit at 10:45am. I'm also dealing with some brain fog--having a hard time focusing on simple work tasks. Which, considering that I'm dealing with exam paperwork and application materials today is not a good thing.

Fuck.

I'm sorry you're exhausted. :(

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2013-11-25 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. Me, too. This sucks. I haven't dealt with levels of tired like this in many months. Gonna have to bring it up with Dr. Khosh next week if things don't let up. UGH.

How are your hunger levels doing?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2013-11-25 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
My appetite is weird. Yesterday I got home from my morning session with Andrew and forced myself to eat some tuna salad. Then I went all day without even thinking about food until [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick came home at 5:40 and asked about dinner. I didn't feel hungry until I was nearly finished cooking.

Saturday I ate hardly anything--a small lunch before going to KC, and then a salad with a bit of steak on it while we were in Westport. That's it.

Today I'm mostly too tired to be hungry, but I can tell I'd be hungry if I wasn't so overwhelmed with needing to sleep.

Any chance you could have caught a bug?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2013-11-25 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah. I recognize all the symptoms of The Fatigue. I wake up feeling great and that lasts not quite an hour. Then I get lethargic and slow down to the point where I'm almost falling asleep at my desk. Then I get a nap and am groggy when I wake, but the mental alertness returns within fifteen to twenty minutes. Then I'm good for the rest of the afternoon and early evening. Every day.

I'm just hoping hoping hoping this isn't caused by training too hard. I'm feeling good about my strength progress even though my body fat levels aren't going anywhere. If I have to slow up my strength training while my fat levels are increasing I'm gonna be super pissed off.

sorry chica.

I hope Dr. Khosh has good things to tell you.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2013-11-25 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. I hope so, too.

there is another person on my f-list who gets so exhausted he can barely function. It was discovered that he has a mitochondrial malfunction. It's just that you have worked so hard on your foodal intake…it's got to be some weird thing.

I hope you get it figured out soon!!!

I'm very concerned that it's the Chronic Fatigue issues resurfacing.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2013-11-25 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Kinda? Sorta? I would have to scale back my activity levels considerably. Ditch my trainer and strength-building sessions, go back to nothing more strenuous than restorative yoga, only allow occasional weekend socializing and nothing during the week, blah blah blah. Of course, doing all that makes me emotionally depressed, so that doesn't really help.

UGH.

[identity profile] siro-gravity.livejournal.com 2013-11-25 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
really, really sucks.

I sure hope that's not what it turns out to be.

On the "plus" side, it seems you always feel run-down and low-energy during the winter. So maybe it's just the usual...?

Like that's much comfort.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2013-11-26 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
There's run-down and there's THIS. Where I wake up and feel great, then three hours later I'm all UGH and I spend the rest of the day like that except for a brief spike in the early evening and then CRASH. Sleep six hours and repeat.

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2013-11-25 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
That is just absolutely horrid, and sounds like a real Catch 22 with the no hungry/no eating/no energy circle.

Kittens won't work, this calls for an absolutely amazeballs fashion statement by Ciara (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2513112/American-Music-Awards-2013-Ciara-debuts-new-bob-hairdo.html) at the AMAs last night to give you pause.

I have a close-up screenshot of that fabric on my FB.
It's truly a work of art.

That is an amazing dress. THANK YOU!

I have had months like that. I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but if it is dark or cloudy all the time, that tends to drain me, especially in the winter when there's hardly any daylight anyway. I'm preemptively taking vitamin D this winter, I have no idea if that might help you (or if it is helping me).

Anyway, I hope you find some energy soon!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2013-11-25 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I started the Vitamin D as soon as the weather started to turn--right around when KCRF wrapped up.

I hope I find some, too.

I'd just like to backhand the fatigue and tell it to get the fuck away from you.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2013-11-26 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)
YES THANK YOU
