Walk it off
Wow did I overdo it this weekend. Oof.
Saturday morning I ran errands before we went to Kansas City to see the new Captain America movie (LOVED IT) and then went to Costco. Where we found a Sony receiver to replace the replacement for the Yamaha receiver we bought at Kiefs to replace the one that died at the grad student party two weeks ago because the one from Kiefs had faulty HDMI ports and fuck it, the one at Costco was almost $300 cheaper and has all the functions of the Yamaha. We can use the $300
mckitterick saved on the receiver to purchase a new Blu-Ray player because apparently when the old receiver died, it also fried the Blu-Ray player which now won't put out any audio signals, even when plugged directly into the television.

So anyway, we got home from KC and I stopped by to say hi to one of my drummers whom I haven't seen in months because she was having a cookout and I really miss her so yeah, drive-by hello, but better than nothing.
Sunday I woke up feeling out of sorts (weirdly weepy and lethargic), but I went to my session with Andrew because a good workout usually makes me feel better. Usually. Yesterday it didn't work out like that. I got home from it and fought off levels of exhaustion that made me too tired to do anything but the minimum. Unfortunately for me, The Minimum was touch up my roots; do the laundry; make two batches of Bowl of Food for the week; cook the three bags of greens I bought at Costco; clean, wrap, and bake a dozen potatoes; then of course clean the kitchen after all that and provide the minimum of moral support (and less than the minimum of physical support) to
mckitterick who cut down a dangerously-leaning tree in the backyard. Oh, and then gave
mckitterick an hour massage after dinner because the poor guy was a mess after four hours dealing with that tree.

Thank gods I slept well, although I am still feeling a little brain-foggy and physically weary.
And yeah, I got pics and video of some of the tree-cutting. Of course.
