Again

Second night this week. Wednesday I was awake from 12:30am to 3:30am. This morning I woke at 2:00 and show no signs of sleepiness yet. It's 3:48.
I took the opportunity to re-read one of my favorite fics, and am now moving on to fiddling around with the due South Sekrit Santa project.
Also, my tummy isn't feeling all that great, either.
It's gonna be a long day.

Ugh, I hate nights like that. I hope you can catch up on sleep this weekend.
Also, I love that story too and I haven't even seen the damn movie.

Isn't it funny how certain eras affect us? WWI and WWII do nothing special to me, Civil War stuff actually repels me, and yet I fall into reverie over turn o' the century US Western stories.
With that, War Horse made me cry a lot. I think it was all about the horse for me, I was horse-crazy as a little girl.

Wow, I'd never thought about it before, but you're absolutely right. And the more I think about it, the more fascinating it becomes. Doesn't make me more inclined to believe in reincarnation, but does make me go "huh" about DNA memory.
Have you read the recent studies about how children of parents who spoke a language but didn't share that language with the child (say, in adoptions outside the country), brain scans of that child hearing the language show the same activity as a native speaker?
o_O
Pretty fucking incredible.

I was raised believing in reincarnation, but I have too many questions to fully take it. Like, how does that explain ghosts? Stuck in the time frame?
However, DNA memory.. yes. Such as, the person getting a heart from another nationality, and suddenly being able to understand and speak their language?!!
I used to tell my mum that I was her mother back to make sure she was okay.. that would be another DNA memory possibility, wouldn't it?
Funny, for the first time I can ever remember, Mum mentioned that yesterday was her mother's birthday.
I hope she's not looking for me to show up for all that "taking care of her" stuff I used to say as a kid, because, just.. No. I can't.
The brain is an amazing thing. I was talking to my
cellmatecubicle neighbor this week. He was talking about how we explore space, still don't know our own oceans, and yet, we have even less knowledge about the space lurking between our ears!
