Brain fog
Last week's energy level high didn't last long. I'm struggling this week. Getting ready for bed at 9:00, asleep by 9:30, still waking up exhausted. And this headache. God. It's been rolling around up there for a week and a half and I have no clue why it's there or how to make it leave for more than a day at a time. I'm puffy and bloated, too. Picked the wrong day to wear a body-conscious dress. It's pressing so tight against my abdomen you can see the outline of my bellybutton. I hate that.
There are many things I'd like to talk about, but I don't have the brain energy or focus to write about them and that's frustrating, too. I was talking to
mckitterick about how it's often a physical effort for me to engage my mind at any level beyond barely functional. When I'm fatigued, all my mental energy goes to staying on top of things at my job. That means there's nothing left for engaging socially--either in person or on the internet. I hate it.
In other news:

I know it doesn't mean anything, but it's still cool.

I was an early adopter of Twitter and Linked in and now don't really care about either. Ok, Twitter for breaking news situations.

I think it became so self referential I got tired of it.

Also, talking about sleep, I can't remember if this was discussed either: Do you have sleep apnea at all? That's usually the main reason for asleep by 9:30 but still waking up exhausted. And a whole cascading host of other things. Was talking to my aunt while we were on vacation and she said that once she was diagnosed and started treatment (using a CPAP machine) her life was like night and day as far as how she felt. Her chronic fatigue, her depressed metabolism, her brain fog, etc. all just went away entirely.
I know Jim has to have apnea -- i've been saying so for years -- but talking to her and hearing what a world changer it was for her has really made me start pushing harder for him to get it diagnosed and then treated.

I bought some of the mineral drops you recommended for
Man, I kind of wish I had sleep apnea, but I don't. *sigh*

The amounts of those trace minerals really are so trace, I wonder if they actually do anything. But they work for me so if it's placebo, my brains working it! I do like the sort of minerally taste in my water, but I treat a gallon at a time and then use it for my tea, etc.

Hey, I think it's super cool that AU followed you!

I think that's very cool! I always get really excited when I'm followed by a movie page or an actor :) Doesn't happen often, but I squeal for weeks when it does happen!

On the plus side, the low-level nausea has diminished my interest in food, so there's always that.

Yay for being followed! I'm impressed. I get sporadic, migraine-like headaches when I'm dehydrated. A cup of tea and extra water usually makes it go away after a couple of hours. But I don't think you could be dehydrated for weeks! Hope that goes away soon, too.
