Funny, it doesn't seem like a Tuesday
Cutest. Joke Food. Ever.
For
arian1, my Renfest schedule:
Sept. 11/12: Whoring
Sept. 18/19: Dancing
Oct. 9/10: Whoring
Oct. 16/17: Whoring
I may or may not be out whoring the last weekend of September and first weekend of October. If I do, I probably won't be out both days.
It's been a fairly difficult few days. Personal drama started out the weekend (and we all know how I just love the drama!), then I received news that a friend of mine died on Sunday. She was accepted into a Buddhist nunnery a couple years ago, so I hadn't seen her for a while, but the news hit me pretty hard. She was such a loving, joyful person. It's very sad for those of us still here that her light has passed to another level. I'm super grateful to my fellow whores at Festival for helping me get through the weekend. The activity provided wonderful distraction and emotional/moral support. Sometimes diversion really is the best tactic.
I haven't downloaded the photos yet that I took of myself in the costume, but
verminiusrex has some pics up here. Forgot to get pics of bodice #2. Doh.
Things I must do for the coming weekend: Dismember and revive bodice #1 in an appropriate size. Purchase a timepiece to hang from my pouch. Make a new scarf for "wench games" since I lost mine somewhere. I also need to finish a skirt and bra for the third weekend. Sometime I wouldn't mind learning some of the songs people sing out there (that would certainly be easier than trying to dance at closing gate). But I'm not sure how to learn them since I doubt there are downloadable copies of said songs floating around out there.
Time to get back to work, alas.
UPDATE:
A note to self: If you're going to be involved in a lunchtime banana-eating contest whilst laced in a fairly tight bodice, do so in this order: Banana, then lunch.
While I might have won the battle on that one, I think Mistress Sable won the war. Oof.

Sorry about the drama. The great part about fair is that it's like an ongoing party in which it's possible to put things aside for a while and scream Huzzah at the top of your lungs...

Thanks! I don't know that everyone obviously loved me. I think something would be wrong with the world if everyone loved me. I would say Charlesworth obviously loved me but most everyone else was a bit more subtle. ;>

But I am very glad you had a successful weekend, and that the whores were so supportive. Ah, the great sisterhood of empowered sex workers! .:g:.

I am truly sorry to hear of your friend. May her light shine on in whatever realm she has entered. May her light always be remembered in this realm.
As for the songs at closing gate, they should be posted on the performers website somewhere. If not on that website, I believe there are links to other sites that have them. www.cobrahq.com/kcrfperformers/
See you third weekend!

And yes, dear, my sincere condolences on the loss of your friend. I would not have known from your appearance or behavior; well done indeed. You have such a beautiful smile.

Thanks. I kept telling myself "Keep your show face on! Show face!" =/ It helped immensely that I was out there with so many wonderful people.

You were fabulous out there. I'm pleased to say that your healing energy also took care of my back, along with the Percs and the beer, lol.
I'm sorry we missed the Chess Match, but we'll be out there again, we got season passes this year.
J said he was very careful to not be overly friendly with you and give off the wrong vibes. :)
especially at this time in your life.
Awww...

And if you're not much into the imbibing thing as we are, we always appreciate a DD for any visits out there ;)

I'm sorry about your friend, even when you haven't seen someone for a while there is always the assumption that you will again.
Was great to see you at faire, and congrats on the improvement in lip marks.
And a word of advice - don't ever try to out banana eat Andrea
