We've got some impressive thunderstorms happening right now, so not much going on in the "watch the sun move across the sky on the longest day" stuff going on.

I SENT OFF MY FIC TO A BETA! I'm not sure they want acknowledged before they have a chance to look at the draft I sent, but I sent it and now I wait.


Got the former department student worker successfully hooked on Guardian yesterday! She came over to watch the first episode and we watched two (as well as the first ep of History 3: Trapped). I think this makes...six? people I've brought into the fold. Emotional trauma is better when it's spread around, right? 

Today I really am going to break out the airbrush kit I swear to dogs.

ETA: this Tumblr post of my dude looking fit as fuck with an award he won earlier this year. I'm very happy for him (his first writing award!) but I'm happier for me because check out those guns, children. Aw yiss.

Dude does not like to wear trousers. I think I've seen him in jeans or trousers maybe three times in the last five years. He wears skirts well! I'm hoping when I have energy to sew again I can make him some funky skirts (that won't be quite as $$$ as freakin' Utilikilts).

I just finished episode 16 and it's getting harder and harder to watch. I can just *feel* things getting awful. UGH.

Oh honey. *hugs* I mean, yeah, it's...it doesn't end with kittens and cocktails, no. It might be a tragic ending but in my opinion it's a satisfying one. Which is not to say I don't eat up fix-it fix with the biggest fucking spoon ever! but yeah. It's a tough ending. If you need to tap out, I totally get it.

I do have a Guardian Recovery Kit email for people who need it after the last episode...

A thing Unfinished bothers me more than a thing Finished Unfortunately, so I'll persevere but I'm slowing down a bit to handle things one episode at a time instead of going HAM on it.

Very wise. I was watching it four or five episodes at a time and then binged the last six which resulted in a total meltdown. Highly recommended for those who love to wallow in The Feels, but for us Vulcans it was probably not the best choice.
