Something's in the air
I spent most of last night succumbing to a headache. Yuck. By the time it settled in for the long haul, everything from the nape of my neck, over the cranium, and down to my molars ached. Suck. I think it was the drop in pressure from the weather, but who knows. I think the pain/weather combo also had a lot to do with my not sleeping last night. So today I'm pretty exhausted and headache-hungover. Feeling a bit delicate.
Now on to opinions:
I have mixed feelings about the death penalty. But then there comes along some ultimate dickwad who really, well, let's just say the world is probably better off without him. I know, I know, "judgemental, much?" but come on: Man set for execution wants to die laughing
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Reuters) - A Texas man scheduled to be executed on Tuesday wants to die laughing.
Patrick Knight, 39, has been soliciting jokes on the Internet and plans to tell one of them before receiving a lethal injection, Texas Department of Criminal Justice spokeswoman Michelle Lyons said on Monday.
"He says he wants to keep his execution light," she said.
Knight was sentenced to die for the August 1991 murder of his two elderly neighbors in Amarillo, Texas.
If that's not a What The Fuck Is Wrong With People candidate...I mean come on. That just...I don't know what. Something.
In other WTF news, please see The Washington Post for their charming little tale on Dick Cheney, who puts a whole new spin (ar ar ar) on the concept of "Vice President." Vice, indeed. Thanks to
gmskarka for the Washington Post link. And thank you,
everflame for hooking me up with Jon Stewart's take on Cheney's recent epiphany that he's not a member of the executive branch.
You know, normally, in the good old days, this would have been the wind up for a Fucking Awesome Rant. But I don't know, people. I'm so tired. And my stomach hurts.

And quit breathing our oxygen.
Wait, are we talking about the murderer or Cheney? I know we're splitting hairs, but...

That's what the Comedy Central website and YouTube are for.
