Two out of three's not bad, I guess
I made it for two of the three faire days this weekend. Sunday night when I got home, my nose started bleeding from both nostrils and I felt pretty rotten. While in the shower, I noticed some hives on my sides, and my waist itched more than normal from just the snug bodice.
Monday morning, my eyes were bright red (but not swollen) and they hurt to blink. It was like the eye muscles were sore or something. Weird. I had hives on my scalp that ran down my neck and behind my ears. My nose was still bleeding a little, and my head was throbbing. I'm still a little itchy, even today, and the headache is back.
Oh, also,
mckitterick took me out to lunch (there was no way I was going to cook something) and I was completely comfortable, even a little warm, in the restaurant. Which means I was also running a fever, since
mckitterick said it was kinda cool in the place.
Wah!
So I didn't make it out for Monday's faire. Thank gods I did an Angel contract this year. If I'd had to go out yesterday, it would've been awful. I've got to figure out something to do about these allergies. It's getting ridiculous.
One thing I'm going to try is washing the bodices and mini-yak at the end of every weekend, instead of only doing it once or twice during the run. That might help with the hives. I'm not sure what to do about the vampire eyes and bleeding nose, though.

Dean Kinsey was dressed like a monk, and I really missed you when he blessed us in the street and took my confession. *sniff*

I even had the peppermint tea all ready to go. Bleh.
I broke myself several times
The necklace is OK, I hope?

I knew I'd miss something absolutely spectacular. Boo.

I think it's likely that Father Dean will be out again. ;) So all is well.
Also, I have some stuff for you from Notty. Didn't bring it today, because I didn't know if you'd be here. Tomorrow?

I'm not certain I'll last the whole day today.

You looked smashing Sunday even though I saw you only briefly and from afar.

Tell me I didn't poison you!
You looked incredible Saturday. Take care of yourself and I hope to see you next weekend when we're out playing. (I don't have to work next weekend.)

I'll look for you next weekend!

that is a high level of nasty.
The dust on sunday had my eyes leaking and nose a running.

I hope your new docs can help you sort it out!

Although there were a couple of patrons/performers that we really might have liked to flog.
Hard.

Well, my knee started aching after the rain began this morning, so I think my ability to tell the future is still pretty...latent.
Allergies
I gave up on all the meds my allergist had me on and figured out that what I really needed to do was change my diet. No artificial crap, very little soda, no corn syrup sweetened anything and as much natural (not processed) food as possible. That has done more to improve my health than anything else.
Be happy, healthy and whole.

I'm pretty strict about my diet, too--my family tends towards obesity. I'm slowly cutting out the high fructose corn syrup. That's the toughest one!
I drink a lot of diet soda during faire (probably two cans a day), which isn't so great, but the carbonation is the only thing that gets the gross out of the back of my throat. Yech!

Hope you're feeling better by now.

I tried Claritin and it had NO effect on me, but Flonase is a little miracle which I squirt in my nose and keeps me breathing BETTER than normal, as well as eschewing the allergy symptoms - heaps better than religious "miracles." Except for that one nun's orgasm where she thought God was appearing to her. That one must have been pretty great.
Glad to hear you've a double-shot that works for you. Allergies suck.
