Humanity has teh dumb

Angry Argentine commuters torch train in rush hour. Because setting trains on fire helps them run closer to schedule.

McCain and Obama are tied at 48 percent each, according to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll out Monday afternoon. Because some people are either very slow learners, or terminally stupid.

On my walk up the hill this morning I noticed one of the small maples has started to turn. There were peach-colored leaves on the branches, and many darker red leaves were already on the ground beneath it. Sadness!

I am tired, tired, tired. I would very much like to take a day off this week, but two of the secretaries are on vacation (one all week, one is out from tomorrow on), and one of the others is dealing with stressful and sad family issues, so she's in and out all the time. Boo. The lack of morning exercise (because I have to be to work early to open the office) isn't helping my energy levels. The plan was to exercise in the afternoon when I got home, but of course I keep opting to run errands right after work. This always happens and it's why I plan my exercise program for morning. Maybe tonight I will have the discipline to get on track. After I run my errand, of course.

Every time we go on lockdown, D Cellhouse tries to set itself on fire. Sometimes they try even when we're not on lockdown.

We call it 'DUH' Cellhouse.

It's good to know that stupidity in large groups continues to be prevalent. The knowledge that you can trust certain segments of the population to be less than intelligent is reassuring.

48% vs 48%? Who the HELL are the 4% who have their heads so far up their ass that they have NO OPINION on politics? I mean, no opinion may be better than the utter stupidity of keeping the Bush admin's legacy in office, but sheeeeit, how dumb can people be?

People can be about this dumb. (http://www.thedailyswarm.com/swarm/dmx-barack-obama/) Yup, just about exactly that dumb.

Note: DMX is a convicted felon, so this also puts him in Camp Stupid with the folks in [livejournal.com profile] sherwood21's comment.

SWEET CUPPIN' CAKES!

And that guy has about 1000 times more money than I do, so... yeah, we can clearly see there's no connection between money and living right.

*sigh* Unfortunately, it appears my mother will be voting for McCain. She sent me some ridiculous pro-Palin/anti-Obama email that had been floating around her office, that I felt obligated to respond to, pointing out all the half-truths, lies, and whatever other ridiculousness that goes on in those stupid emails. Maybe I got her to think about things.

Surprisingly, my dad is more open to Obama. We'll see, I suppose.

Those people have landlines.. how else are CNN polls done? Sadly, I fear for our future, because the majority of McC/P supporters are like some inlaws I know.. believe everything they see on TeeVee. And own a landline. And answer calls from political pollsters.

Maybe we can make an effort for you to help me put up mirrors downstairs and you can motivate me to damnwellworkout? Ok, that's asking a lot.

Boo for winter. I also fear that we won't have pretty red maples because the cold damp might ruin the tree turning, which is the main thing I like about this season. I also hate the season to come. We must help each other through it.

Yay! I'd be happy to help you install mirrors. Sounds like an excellent winter project. We should start coming up with ideas now!
