Point

August is gone, people. WTF.

Check out this video if you're feeling science-riffic today. I admit that by the end, I was barely hanging on by my little fingernails.

Thank you [livejournal.com profile] rorschachsix for the link. If I could get a better handle on this fourth dimension stuff, perhaps I could get some of August back. If you can call it August. It wasn't even sixty degrees when I left the house this morning. Craziness.

No complaints about the cool weather during Media Party and Site Day, however. Lack of heat helped most everyone have a better time, and the hours seemed to go by quicker and easier than they have in years past. Especially on Site Day. Although part of that could be I'd forgotten how much Chess Match rehearsal extends that day. And since I'm not doing Chess Match this year... ahhhh. I think I was home by 2:30.

I'm really hungry (it's getting on to almost eleven), but my stomach is already distended to the point where the buttons of my dress are starting to pull against the buttonholes. I've had a banana and one mug of coffee with milk today.

I purchased some digestive enzymes from the Merc, but they didn't help with the bloating. So then I tried taking them before the meal and following the meal with anti-gas tablets (simethicone). No change. I go from normal belly to six-months pregnant in about ten minutes. It takes six or more for the bloating to go down.

I'm gonna have to see if my PCP has any time this week to squeeze me in. I have got to get a reference to see a G.I. specialist. Soon. This is intolerable.

There are 15 kinds of bacteria -- maybe you don't have the right one. Looks like bifidobacterium infantis was the right one for me. Either look on vitacost.com or buy Align capsules, though they are pricey. It really reduces the bloat.

Oh, I think AE yogurt has this particular culture in it, too. But AE is majorly runny.

Hm! When I went to KU Med, they said it was a problem with too much bacteria, rather than a deficiency of a particular kind. Thirty days on the antibiotic really helped, but I can't do that forever.

Perhaps I'll see if the Merc carries this bifidobacterium infantis. I'm not above drinking a quart of yogurt, either.

I'm sorry you are having issues again. That sucks that you didn't have at least a longer reprieve. I hope you finally get it resolved and quickly.

God, me too. This blows.
