Mood

I woke up at 3:30 this morning and could not fall back asleep. I admitted defeat at ten 'til four and got up. Looked outside to see a solid covering of snow. Pulled on layers and shoveled the walk. You can imagine my mood after the winning combination of weather and insomnia.



I forgot to get something at the store last night for dinner tomorrow. Stellar. So I'll have to go out in this tonight. And there's a home basketball game. stuology is saving my life on this one! Stellar!

Twenty-eight days until vacation.

Maybe because I'm only in my second year of home ownership, but, the idea of getting up before work and shoveling snow...just seems...ludicrous to me. I saw a guy out at 6:30 while I was driving to work doing his driveway and....yeack!

Our sidewalk is so heavily traveled that if I don't shovel before I leave for work, it will be trampled down into nearly solid ice by 5:00 p.m. And then it's impossible to remove with anything short of a pick axe and blow torch.

Oh my dear god you are an angel. I need a bag of shredded sharp cheddar. Generic is fine, since it's just going in a casserole. If mckitterick isn't home when you drop it off, toss it in the mailbox. And I will totally repay you at a later date, either in cash or booze. Hell, if mckitterick answers the door when you knock, tell him you're taking your pick of any wine bottle on the counter (I recommend the Goats Do Roam or the Delas). We also have a lovely French white in the fridge if you'd like to try that.

Definitely A). I think if someone ever stood me up for a big event, the photo would likely include firearms. Or at the least, a big shovel.

I can not help it but to smile at the snow. Still a kid and I enjoyed those days when snow fell and I would get a snow day. This may also be perverted but I love the cold. You can always put on more clothes when it is hot when you are naked and still hot you are screwed. Food taste better in winter it is rich wine drinks better mead and rum also. The kitchen is closed up no open windows so you can really smell the food cooking. Winter rocks

I understand that some people like the cold weather. But I am rarely, if ever, too hot. Sometimes, I get cold even in the summer. It stinks. Brrrrrrr
