There are many things wrong with this picture

Does anyone here frequent Saigon 39 in KC? Have you heard this story? Wow. I certainly won't be eating there, that's for sure.

In frock coat news, I'm really unhappy with the way the dog-ear cuffs look. There's nothing actually wrong with them other than they're way too big. I'm going to cut them down. Right now they just look comical. Another instance of the piece being the same for all sizes on this pattern. I should've thought of that before, but didn't. Easy enough to size them down, at least.

And finally: this is officially the shittiest Spring Equinox I can remember, weather-wise. All my plans are canceled and I'm stuck in the house for the whole day.

Here is my comment to the post.

There is one piece of good news, and maybe someone else has already mentioned it, that was not the owner. The owner's name is Mimi Perkins. She opened the place in 1991. I worked in midtown for a couple of years in the mid-1990s. The main reason I am telling you this is so you can complain directly to Mimi, along with any other action you want to take. I don't know her, but as a business owner, I don't think she'd want to alienate half the population of that area (it is a VERY liberal zone, as you know).

Good luck.

I seriously don't think Mimi would be pleased to hear about this. She knows full well that she is up to her neck in gay people and that their money is as good as everyone else's. My perception is that Mimi is, at her heart, a ruthless, greedy businesswoman. She knows this kind of thing is BAD for business. I don't know what her social politics are, but I think someone needs to complain to her about it.

Not yet. I am having a slow, depressed morning. First day of spring my fucking fat, dimpled ass.

I'm getting ready to head downstairs and open a bottle of champagne. I can at least console myself with sunny mimosas.

I saw that post too. Yuck.

edit:(why did LJ just erase this sentence?)
BABY JESUS ON A SHISH KABOB STICK, that has to be the worst sewing project ever. Your pain is palpable.

If it weren't for my First Time Ever Salon Color, I would not even get dressed today. But since I'll have the Exploiter, I'll drop the kitty food by today... call me if you need anything else.

Oh hon, that's so sweet of you!

You know, if you don't mind awfully, and you're out and about, I could really use a quick trip to Checker's...I just gotta pick up a few things. And with the Saab dead, we're SOL for winter transportation.

You definitely made a good call about canceling this afternoon. I went out this morning, during the lull, for a stock-up at Whole Foods and expect to spend the rest of the weekend holed up at home. Hopefully I will also get some sewing done but the temps may keep me out of the sweatshop for extend periods. Oooo, more time for the current embroidery project :).

Yep, staying home and staying safe and warm...if a teensiest bit irritated. *sigh*

Have fun with your projects! I hope to finish the coat--all but trim and buttonholes--today.

I just now realized I forgot to add buttons to my Cheeptrims order. *facepalm*

Never been there. Never even been tempted.

Well, on the plus side, your brownies were much loved and appreciated by all!
