We already got one*
KU already has a team representing them in the weightlifting category for the KCCC thing. All the information and conversation yesterday wasn't for naught, though! I got some excellent tips and suggestions that I'm going to put into a resumed lifting program, and it might have almost convinced
mckitterick to get rid of the dust-gathering workout machines (and invest in some dumb bells).
This morning I didn't wear a jacket. Freedom! Long sleeved button-down shirt, yes. But jacket, no. Ahhh. There were all sorts of new buds on the trees that weren't there when I walked to work yesterday. And the F/O guys were burning the patch of prairie grass on the south hill of campus. I regretted not bringing my camera to work, because it was a spectacular sight. The orange flames were beautiful and vivid in the tan grass. It was overcast, and in the absence of any bright sun, the contrast was amazing.
I haven't bothered carrying the camera to campus lately because our tech guy is on vacation, so I can't get the software installed that'll let me download pictures from the camera. Why I could download them without the downloading software two weeks ago is a mystery. I'm keeping up with the 365 project, but am unable to download them to my work computer. I don't feel like fucking around with downloading, editing, and uploading on my little netbook at home. God, I can't imagine how long those uploads would take. It's cute and handy, but not what I'd call speedy.
The fact that it's only 9:34 is incredibly depressing. It's gonna be a long day.

I hate it when I miss a good photo op.
But I have a lovely mental pic from your great description!

I miss weightlifting. I think there is some sort of deep irony in being a fitness instructor who can't find the time to do my own workouts. Trying to schedule them around my teaching schedule is breaking my brains. Argh! I did a 60-second plank last night at one of my classes alongside my student, and was discomfited to realize I had a bit of a tremor going on near the end. My usual planks are held for 90. Yikes!

Because Windows has plug and play ability to read most digital cameras, and you were probably using that. Now, why that stopped working is the actual mystery.
Can you see an icon for your camera when you plug it in? Or do you get error messages when you try to get the photos?

As you say, I wasn't using any special browsing software, so why this is happening is very annoying.

Sorry--the problem solver in me is curious. I'm sure you'll get it fixed easier once your tech support person is back.
