The iPod migration continues. I think I got the settings right this time. *crossing fingers* I had a moment of amusement this morning when I ripped in succession two very different CDs: Krishna Das Greatest Hits of the Kali Durga followed by L7's Bricks are Heavy. Man, I love this eclectic music collection.

If anyone has topic requests for my essays at the Feminist Fitness blog, please let me know. My posts so far: Doing it for ourselves, the importance of one's reasons for change, and how to acknowledge the support (or lack of support) in a partner, Your body, your science experiment, kind of an intro post about me and how I think/act, and Punishment and reward, about my obessive-compulsive eating issues. I also have some video posts and reblogs sprinkled in there, but I'm not gonna bother linking to those. Seriously, though, send me topic ideas. I'm supposed to write one a week, and that's a lot of topics to think up.

I submitted to the blog a great fitness website, too, Nerd Fitness. His post on fitness enthusiasts as mutants was excellent.

Speaking of your body, your science experiment, I tested my theory that my body can't deal with dried fruit anymore. After a couple weeks of crazy swelling after every meal, I finally had things (mostly) under control thanks to some strict eating and two abdomen-focused acupuncture sessions. Then I ate a bunch of dried fruit and nuts. Next day, boom, back to crazy swelling after every meal. It's been three or four days and I'm still having issues. So, yeah. Pretty obvious positive result, there. Dried fruit is off the menu, except in very small amounts (like a quarter cup of cranberries in an entire batch of my carrot salad). With that in mind: anyone local want a Costco-sized half-bag of dried apricots?

I'll go ahead and put them in the mailbox right now, just in case I might forget to bring them tonight. I'd have you come to the door, but [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick is still asleep.
