WTF it's snowing.

This email was sent (not by me) to the department listserv this morning:

I was very honored and pleased to have received the gift of what I assume to be a cow's tooth in my department mailbox this morning. If I have received it in error, do let me know and I would be happy to return it.Otherwise, I will treasure it, but would love to know the back story of the gift.

Things like that are good reminders of why I continue to work in this department. I mean come on. That's awesome. As were all the pun-laden responses (including "a moooooooving gift," "behoof," "cowntemplate," and "milking this topic"--so far).

I'm swamped this weekend. Tonight I'm hauling my ass (rather, msmitti is hauling my ass and mckitterick's) to see the Blades show tonight in KC. Tomorrow is Henna Day (at least that will be mostly relaxing), and Sunday is my first drumming workshop.

The good news? Houston, we have amphetamines. I picked them up yesterday. Took one (well, a quarter of one) this morning, but am not feeling particularly perked yet. I'm on day three of Really Not Sleeping Well, though, so I'm not terribly surprised.
