Lacking

Goal posts are on hiatus until after KCRF closes.

I'm losing ground on my deadlift. I couldn't lift ninety-five pounds on the second set this morning. My previous max was 135. Boo, hiss.

This weekend wasn't nearly as productive as I'd planned/hoped. I've got a lot on my plate for this week, now. One hundred and forty-four hours until KCRF opening day.

I'm sure. I've definitely had days at the gym where I struggle to complete even a fraction of my normal workout, and then I always bounce back. You're a much more dedicated exerciser than I am, so I'm sure you're even better at overcoming stuff like this.

When you are working near a max lift you will not always improve, or stay steady for that matter... not every day is PR day.
Also, people who want to improve their deadlift weight do it much more often than crossfit proscribes. One of the very real criticisms of crossfit is that you never do the big lifts often enough to get steady improvement. crossfit is a general physical preparedness workout (gpp) rather than something that will get you numbers. I'm not saying there are not substantial bennies, it's just that a big pull will not be one of them.

I'm fine with gpp. I just didn't expect to go backwards quite so dramatically.

I dunno, i've broken PRs on days I felt like crap. weird.
I will say this tho: however you fall on calories-in for weight loss,
nobody ever gained muscle in calorie deficit, they just started feeling like shit.

My own experience at the gym is that I cycle up and down as far as what I can comfortably do. Same is true for my weight. up. down. I think as long as the general curve is tending in the right direction, the individual days don't matter so much...except that they make one feel pretty grumpy.

At the British Museum on Friday, there was an open-air screening of Shakespeare's Henry V --- with Tom Hiddleston in the title role.

Once I recognized him, I thought of you. He really is such a good actor, as well as being an awesome one.
