Dr. Burt confirmed some sort of bacterial infection, so I'm on a Z-pack with a Diflucan chaser for the respiratory/sinus stuff. I'm also on massive doses of Allegra for the hives, and a big old tube of steroid cream for topical treatment. Here's hoping those all kick in by Saturday morning.

mckitterick and I have had the unfortunate opportunity to engage in several recent conversations about systemic misogyny. Here is another example. This sort of thing happens every day, and it happens to women you know. I haven't experienced this sort of thing on a regular basis, but it's happened to me on several occasions and it never gets any easier to deal with. When are we going to stop telling our daughters "don't dress like that," "don't go out alone," "don't do this don't do that don't don't don't" and start telling our sons "don't do horrible things?" Will this ever happen in enough numbers to change our culture?

I'm not going to be able to keep up with the WITL project this week. It seems silly that I wouldn't have the energy for such a small thing as photos, but my health is really in the shitter right now and I barely have the energy to function, much less remember to take photos during the day. Sorry, y'all.
Update: Oh dear. One of the medications is not sitting well at all. I'm not sure that everything is going to stay down. Perhaps I should have eaten more with lunch? Less? Ugh. This is...unpleasant. I wish I wasn't at the office.
Update of update: Okay, everything stayed down and I'm feeling better, but exhausted.
