Thirty-one degrees and falling

We did get to go see Jenny Lawson last night. The roads going in were nearly completely dry, and coming home they were barely wet. COLD, but not frozen.

This morning, however. Holy schnikes. It was slick as snot. Thank gods mckitterick was awake to give me a ride to campus. I think I would've broken something trying to get up the hill on foot. As it was, I slipped and nearly fell just getting from the car into the building.

I maintain that spring in Kansas doesn't actually happen until May. [grumble/mutter]

It's true. We've had snow as late as April.

Agreed. My father-in-law once wisely told me to never put new plants into the ground until Mother's Day.
I did it one year and lost about fifty bucks worth of annuals.
