Thirty-one degrees and falling
We did get to go see Jenny Lawson last night. The roads going in were nearly completely dry, and coming home they were barely wet. COLD, but not frozen.
This morning, however. Holy schnikes. It was slick as snot. Thank gods
mckitterick was awake to give me a ride to campus. I think I would've broken something trying to get up the hill on foot. As it was, I slipped and nearly fell just getting from the car into the building.
WELCOME TO SPRING IN KANSAS.

We'll be taking my car, though... it's much heavier than Rin's & has a wider wheel base!

I did it one year and lost about fifty bucks worth of annuals.

Rain: no problem to drive through if you're not going so fast you hydroplane.
Snow: no problem to drive through if you can get enough traction to plow through. Snow is crystallized flakes, no worse than sand, really.
Ice: HOLY CRAP NO TRACTION. Same stuff as snow, only solid. It's like the difference between steps (chunky like snow) and a polished slope.

It was dry and right at 32 degrees on the way to work this a.m.; who knows what it will be like this evening.

Well, so much for that.
Maybe I'll just pick up some movies. I've been combing the used BR counter looking for all the pre-Avengers movies; found both Iron Man I and II, and Hulk; found Captain America, but didn't pick it up because it was a new copy, not used. Haven't come across Thor yet, and that's the one I really want to see again, simply because I've seen so many great clips that I DON'T REMEMBER AT ALL. Like Coulson and the bag of flour!
Haven't see Skyfall, and I...think that the Hobbit comes out this week?

Skyfall was great. I wasn't a fan of The Hobbit.

Kansas. It can't just be 70 and sunny.

I don't think it can be much of anything at the mo'.
