Thirty-one degrees and falling
We did get to go see Jenny Lawson last night. The roads going in were nearly completely dry, and coming home they were barely wet. COLD, but not frozen.
This morning, however. Holy schnikes. It was slick as snot. Thank gods
mckitterick was awake to give me a ride to campus. I think I would've broken something trying to get up the hill on foot. As it was, I slipped and nearly fell just getting from the car into the building.
WELCOME TO SPRING IN KANSAS.

Rain: no problem to drive through if you're not going so fast you hydroplane.
Snow: no problem to drive through if you can get enough traction to plow through. Snow is crystallized flakes, no worse than sand, really.
Ice: HOLY CRAP NO TRACTION. Same stuff as snow, only solid. It's like the difference between steps (chunky like snow) and a polished slope.
