Whiney whine whine
I haven't posted anything with content lately because I've been out of sorts. Spraining (or whatever) my knee put me in a bad head space and made me pretty down. I was just starting to feel strong and confident--like I might actually get to where I would feel physically ready for KCRF, and then WHOMP. Discouraging. I haven't done much of anything this week physically because while the knee doesn't hurt anymore, and I can sort of walk on it, it's still stiff and a teensy bit achey. The achey might be exacerbated by the weather. But regardless, I'm leery of doing anything that would slow the healing. So...meh.
Whether it be coincidental or causative, my swelling issues have been pretty much through the roof the past week or so. Nearly every day is a stomach-sticks-out-further-than-boobs day. I'm back to wearing my too-big jeans (the one pair) because even though they nearly fall off me the first part of the day, if I wear my other jeans (of which I have five pairs), they're incredibly tight by the time I go home. On Tuesday I wore a pair of the group two jeans and MY GOD when I got home I could barely stand to keep them buttoned. Just flat-out painful.
My energy levels are barely sufficient. In the summer, our office closes at 4:00, which is awesome because it means I'm home an hour early. But it also means I don't get a lunch. And no lunch means no nap. So between 1:00 and 3:00 I'm dragging. My energy level picks up a bit when I get home, but I'm going to bed between 9:15 and 9:30 again. I just can't make it to 10pm without the afternoon nap. And going to bed that early means I'm awake at 5:30 or so, when I could really use the extra sleep to help with the knee and swelling issues.
And the roof is leaking again, and water is coming in through the wall of my sewing room, and
mckitterick is busy and stressed with the CSSF summer activities looming, and my credit card bill is ridiculous again (I spent $30 on CDs at Half-Price Books during their closing business sale shame on me), and and and and...
So that's all a lot of not fun. Blah.

And that's why I haven't been posting much of importance.

I have planted about 60 flowers on various parts of my property though. You should come over and see. Oh, and I hosted about 20 members of CK's family for breakfast yesterday. Last night I set a fire in my fire pit to burn off a bunch of twigs, brush, and paper that should have gotten shredded. Yeah. Things to be proud of. Big things.

I'm going to take this as an invitation to WINE IN PERSON with you sometime. I'll email you my schedule and if you're available, gimme a ring.
