Not entirely pleased with life, but let's focus on the cute mouse

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS WEATHER. It is too early in the winter season to already be dipping into the teens during the day.

Also, I've done something (pretty sure I know what, but not entirely positive) to my low back, and the right side is all fucked up. I saw the chiropractor Monday and stayed home from work yesterday, have rubbed, rolled, applied heat, and it's still unhappy. *grump* Having to walk s-l-o-w-l-y up the hill this morning, when it was, like TEN DEGREES was absolute misery. I am dreading the walk home because walking downhill is always harder.

I'm considering doing another selfie project for 2014. I need to start playing around with the cameras we've got at home, though, since yet again I lost my favorite selfie camera that I used for the Year 41 project. Of course.

I have a love/hate like that with squirrels. Cute to look at, love the antics at a distance, but the little buggers better stay out of my attic or it's Squirrel Pie.

My great-aunt used to have a series of blue budgies, all named Joey, and when one would get too noisy, she'd yell "Budgie Pie!" at it. It always worked.

I felt almost bad that a couple of squirrels died in the Hav-A-Heart traps we set in our attic (I think they had little squirrel heart attacks). But then another squirrel would start up the Furious Chewing and all I wanted to do was set them on fire (before they did the same thing to my house).

Oh, I have such guilt about live traps! So far, I've captured... I dunno, a dozen or so mice in "live traps," only two of whom have survived.

"LIVE," Tutankhamen's dessicated and starved ass! I've gone back to kill-traps, because at least it's fast.

I love watching the squirrels on my property. Until I notice they've killed my winter flowers and dug up all my tulip bulbs that I paid over $1200 for. Freaking cute nuisances! Shakes fist! Ah well, construction destroyed my lawn, I'm almost sad when lawn care removes the leaves that hides it. Fortunately, I have more leaves falling.
