Wrist update
Feb. 15th, 2005 09:25 amWell, it's not good news.
I'm supposed to start physical therapy for my wrist. Immediately. The doctor said she could feel scar tissue in the tendon. On the plus side, it's so bad I didn't have to get x-rays. So that saved me a bit of money in lab fees, right? I've got a prescription for some heavy-duty anti-inflammatory drug (don't remember the name) and I just need to get an appointment to start cortisone treatments. The doctor is brand-spanking new (my first doc that's younger than me!) and doesn't have her game face yet. I could tell she didn't have much hope for the ultrasound cortisone treatment, but we're going to try that first anyway. She actually mentioned the "S" word as soon as she felt the scar tissue.
Bummer, dude.
And I should probably stop typing since I'm already starting to ache.
