I wish it would stop raining/storming at night. Can we get some weather during the day instead? My body doesn't rest well during a rainstorm, even if it's quiet. I don't know why. Yes, I realize most people: "Oh, it's so soothing! I love the sound of rain!" Great, fabulous for you. For me it means a night of fitful sleeping and extra-bad morning creakiness. Oh, and probably testiness.
I'm so tired. I've had one good night of sleep this week. Ugh. Moving on.
Favor: Local folks, if you get that weekly circular "Pulse" thing and don't plan to use the occasional 40% off coupon from Michael's, would you mind passing it to me? For some reason, the LJ World sees fit to leave only one of those at my house (despite the fact that it's three apartments), so I rarely get it. I need to make a couple necklaces for Faire and I need either sterling or gold plate clasps ($$$$) since the cheap metal will turn my neck green. Thanks so much.
Jemira and I are very happy with the choreography for my solo. We ironed out a solution to the one clunky transition and although the revision nixed my fabulous backbend at the end, I think it flows better. I'll run the finished version tonight at the studio until my thigh muscles give out on me. Which, after last night's rehearsal, might not take too long. Lots of lunging and rising, lunging and rising, lunging and rising getting that transition figured out. Ooof.
The belt base is finished. I just have to sew on all the trim and then the lining. I will probably have this costume finished by Saturday evening. That means I can actually relax on Sunday. What a concept! I think I shall spend the entire day secluded in my apartment, drinking too much coffee in the morning, too much wine in the afternoon, and enjoying an entirely self-indulgent and lazy day with my cat--who has been remarkably patient and non-annoying even though I've paid her very little attention since I got back from Indy. She deserves a day of lap.
So do I.
