Another one of my international students came by yesterday to say goodbye. Or, in her case, Auf Wiedersehen. She brought me a bottle of something called Apéritif à la Truffe. At first I misread it as "Truffle Oil" because ok, ok, I was freaking tearing up and I couldn't read the damn label. But when I got back to my desk (and a tissue), I saw it wasn't truffle oil at all and now I'm not sure what I have here. It's a sweet liquor, I believe (I can tell that much from the ingredients), but I'm not sure how best to drink or serve it.

Google wasn't much help, frankly. Francophiles, any assistance please?

Former Troupe Leader (FTL from now on) sent out the program for the show. OK, first: She didn't tell me that I could name my piece. She didn't even ask if I wanted to name it. Second: What did she decide to name my piece? "That Bond Woman." That Bond Woman? What the fuck does that even mean? I fired off an email and a phone call to her saying if she wanted to title the piece I wanted it to be either the standard "Bond Girl" term or "Shaken and Stirred," which I think is pretty damn clever. But we'll see if she actually gets it changed. That Bond Woman. What the hell? Done. Have I mentioned done?
