Friday--already?

Cripes, this week just flew by.

Got some disquieting info re: Middle Eastern Weekend last night. I'm not at liberty to share it with the world at large, but suffice to say it might be an interesting time. Hopefully it will be less interesting than it might. *crosses fingers*

I finished my first pair of linen bloomers last night (thanks a zillion to corsettegirl for the fabric). I will eventually put more trim on the bottoms, I think. Right now there's just one row of lace and two rows of trim. I'd like to make it a double row of lace-gimp-ribbon on each leg, but that can be added later. I took radcliffe's idea and made the sides open. I didn't have any ladder-style lace, so I made little strips of fabric, covered in ribbon, and put them up the side of the leg to hold the edges together. They look so pretty!

Of course, if it's pouring rain, I don't know how much those linen bloomers are gonna help. Yuck. Does it always rain on Media Party day? I haven't done this enough years to know for sure, but it does seem like that's the standard.
